PIONEER, TN (WLAF) – A log truck wrecked just before noon today on Highway 297 in the Elk Valley community.

Officials tell WLAF the loaded truck was forced off the road and rolled over in the 8600 block. That’s between the Pioneer Post Office and Elk Valley Schools, about two miles north of the post office.

The road is not blocked. However, troopers with the Tennessee Highway Patrol and deputies with the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office are working the mishap, and it is slow going through that area of Highway 297.

The driver of the truck is reported to be shaken up but not injured. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/26/2023-12:30PM)
