Catherine Sweat Greene, age 81, of Headland, AL., formerly of LaFollette

Catherine Sweat Greene, age 81, of Headland, AL., formerly of LaFollette, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023. She was a member of New Zion Freewill Baptist Church. She loved her family and singing in the choir. She also loved to cross-stich making many complicated cross-stich pieces, and loved listening to southern gospel music. She was employed at the LaFollette Shirt Factory then moved to Alabama with her husband and began working for Wex-Tex Industries in Ashford, AL where she retired. She was preceded in death by Husband of 56 years Jesse Greene and Parents Charles Marshall and Mildred Catherine Davis Sweat.

Grandchildren: Laura and Husband Eric Blackham, Adam and Wife Danielle Major and Jessie Robbins

Great-grandchildren: Elliot, Evelyn, Bella & Colton

Sister: Emma Lou McKinney

Brother: Charles and wife Judy Sweat

Sister-in-law: Pat Payne

Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends

Family will receive friends 3 to 4 PM Saturday, June 24 Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Woodlawn Cemetery for Graveside Services and Interment, Rev. Wade Walls officiating.
