LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Three tornado warnings, which may be a record in one day for Campbell County, were issued for portions of the county Sunday afternoon and evening. The first sounded at 5:35pm until 6:20pm with the second sounding at 6:07pm lasting until 7:07pm. The third tornado warning sounded at 6:35pm and continued being extended as the storm crawled across Campbell County with the warning finally expiring at 9:09pm.

Reports came in of trees down as well as power lines and telephone lines down along Old Middlesboro Highway in the vicinity of Miller’s Bridge. Other areas suffered power outages and downed trees as well to go along with some flooding. A mudslide developed on Elk Fork Road in Elk Valley.
