LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The LaFollette Library kicked off its summer reading program with comedian and ventriloquist Gene Cordova who performed Friday morning.
A puppeteer, comedian, and magician all rolled into one, Cordova is a favorite amongst the children, according to LaFollette Librarian Nancy Green.

Green said this year’s program was off to a great start with “many new faces.”
Next week’s summer reading program is Friday, June 9 and will feature LaFollette Fire Chief Jimmy Pack and local firefighters who will be presenting on fire safety. The program starts at 10 am at the library.
There is no program on June 16.

The Friday, June 23 program will feature Mike Branch with Flying B Horsemanship who will be talking about horse training.
The summer reading program will conclude on Friday, June 30 with the awards and picnic. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/05/2023-6AM)
