WASHBURN, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – TWRA wildlife officers are investigating a fatal boating accident on Norris Lake involving a jet ski that collided with a boat.  

The incident occurred near Black Fox Access Area in Grainger County around 5:20 pm Sunday. The male operator of the jet ski died at the scene.  EMS transported the victim’s body for forensic analysis.

The identity is being with held until later today out of respect for the victim’s family, according to TWRA spokesman Matthew Cameron. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/05/2023-3AM)
