LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Judy’s Grocery and Deli is WLAF’s business of the week. Food, fishing supplies, bait, tackle, groceries and friendly hometown service can all be found at Judy’s.

The long-time bait, tackle and deli staple has become one of the area’s best local places to eat!

Judy’s is a family owned business operated by Richard Goins and his sister Charline Brewer, who purchased it a little over two years ago. 

The pair are serving up burgers, hot dogs, hoagies, daily specials, cold drinks and more!

Brewer and Goins have been busy expanding the kitchen to have a larger cooking space over the past year. The dining area has been decorated and expanded with additional booths and eating areas. 

An expanded dining area and kitchen has been a part of the upgrades at Judy’s Grocery and Deli over the past two years.

“The kitchen has expanded, the menu has expanded and business has expanded with it!” Brewer said.

Goins can be found cooking up something special such as BBQ ribs on most Saturdays and chicken liver dinners or chicken and dumplings on Wednesdays just to name a few.

Better go early for the ribs as they often sell out. 

Food, fishing supplies, bait, tackle, groceries and friendly hometown service are all a part of the appeal of Judy’s Grocery and Deli.

Judy’s has the “best bait in town” as well as some of the best burgers, daily specials and their famous hoagies with all the fixings. All the meat comes from Hollingsworth’s Meat Market, as well as local fresh produce. Monday through Friday the kitchen serves up a different special such as chicken and dumplings, roast beef, spaghetti and more. 

Brewer said the community has been quite welcoming over the past two years and “Judy’s has wonderful customers!”

Judy’s has what you need on your way to your favorite fishing hole.

The business is open 6 am to 8 pm Monday through Saturday and closed on Sundays. The deli closes at 6:30 pm. each evening. For call in orders, call 423-562-3285. Judy’s is located at 748 Old Middlesboro Highway at Fincastle.
