First responders care for a patient early on Friday.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A Campbell County woman is being treated for a possible stroke this morning.

Just before 5am, 4:50am, first responders were called to a home near the end of the Alder Springs community. After the patient was assessed, it was determined, she needed to be airlifted to a Knoxville hospital.

The next available medical helicopter was in Kentucky. An Air Evac landed on the Cedar Creek Bridge around 6:30am. The bridge was closed off for more than half an hour to serve as the landing zone (LZ).

Multiple agencies responded to the event; Campbell County Rural Fire Service, Emergency Management Agency, Emergency Medical Services and Sheriff’s Office. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/26/2023-8:30AM)
