CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – On Monday, members of the Campbell County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at 185 Tennessee Street. Campbell County Sheriff’s Det.-Sgt. James McCall made contact with Norm Leach. While officers were searching the home, a backpack belonging to Leach was found near the door, in a bedroom where Leach resides.

Inside the backpack was an alleged unopened Suboxone, also inside the bedroom was a clear packet of an unknown white crystal substance on a corner table. The substance was believed to be a counterfeit substance that is commonly added to a controlled substance to increase its weight. The substance was sent to the TBI crime lab for analysis.

Prior to the search, Det.-Sgt. McCall had knowledge that Leach had an active violation of probation warrant out of criminal court.

Leach, 41, 144 Moonview Drive, LaFollette was charged with counterfeit controlled substance, possession of schedule III controlled substance and violation of probation (criminal court). (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/26/2023-6AM)
