LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – WATCH here and HERE for a couple of today’s airdrop exercises near Miller’s Bridge at Norris Lake. “Members of The Tennessee Division of Forestry continue practicing airdrops with pilots from The Tennessee Air National Guard today,” said Jay Muncy, II, Director of Campbell County Emergency Management Agency (EMA).

Though this is an exercise, this procedure has played out in times of fire here in Campbell County.

It was a two-day session, Wednesday and today. Doaks Creek Road and Old Middlesboro Highway have had portions closed off during the exercise. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/25/2023-2PM)
