LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A CUV bearing Claiborne County tags wrecked into a utility pole and street sign just after 3:30 Monday afternoon along West Central Avenue.

One First Responder pointed to the LUB pole at the corner of Central and South 13th Street where the vehicle made contact some 50 yards from where the CUV came to a final rest near the former Lyons’ Trading Center.

The CUV made contact with the utility pole beside the white LFD unit.

Air bags deployed and the lone occupant, a male driver, was shaken up. Medical personnel tended to him. He was transported by the Campbell County EMS to the La Follette Medical Center.

It appears the most damage was to the CUV and the street sign.

La Follette Fire and Police also responded and cleared the scene at 4:10pm.

The investigation by the LPD continues. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/22/2023-4:15PM)
