LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – On May 11, around 7pm, Campbell County Sheriff’s Sgt. Joshua Jeffers was dispatched to Pleasant Ridge Rd, LaFollette, about a robbery that had just occurred. When Jeffers arrived, he made contact with several LaFollette Police officers who advised him Christian Jaylen Holman had robbed a man at knife point and then ran away.

Jeffers knew Holman and began looking for him at 148 Davenport Rd, LaFollette, where his grandmother lives. Jeffers spoke with the grandmother, and she reported Holman had come inside the house and requested her to take him somewhere. Holman then left the house when she would not take him, according to the grandmother. Holman was soon found by Jeffers in the backyard at the house.

Jeffers spoke with the victim who alleged he had received a text message from Holman asking for a ride to his grandmother’s house. He continued that Holman wanted him to stop at the church before the first entrance to Davenport Rd. The victim alleged when he stopped Holman had gotten on top of him while holding a knife to him and began demanding the victim give him all of his money. He reported that he began taking money out of the driver’s side door of the vehicle where Holman remained on top of him. The victim reported Holman had taken approximately $250 from him.

Holman, 21, 148 Davenport Rd, LaFollette was charged with aggravated robbery and remains housed in the Campbell County Jail this morning.

A secure bond of $150,000 was set for Holman who is due in court today at 9am. This was his fifth arrest, according to jail records. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/18/2023-6AM)
