JACKSBORO, TN., (WLAF) – Two people charged in the death of a Jacksboro man remain in jail following their court appearances last week. DeAnthony Gilmore-Page, 32, Knoxville, and Sonya Kay Brotherton, 36, Jacksboro, have both been charged in the death of Abraham Zenas Wallace, 42. Wallace and Brotherton were married at the time of his death, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

While they both face a second degree murder charge, Brotherton was also charged with one count of delivery of schedule II controlled substance.

Both appeared in criminal court last week. Gilmore- Page was arraigned on his charge. He pleaded not guilty. His case was set for review on Sept. 11. Brotherton’s case had been set for review. She will appear in court again on May 30.

The duo remains in the county jail on $100,000 bonds.

On April 2, 2021, special agents with the TBI Drug Investigation Division joined investigators with the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office in investigating Wallace’s death, after he was found deceased in the 300 block of Cumberland Overlook Lane in Jacksboro. His cause of death was determined to be an overdose caused by Fentanyl and Methamphetamine toxicity. During the course of the investigation, agents determined Gilmore-Page was one of the individuals responsible for distributing the drugs to him.

In January, the Campbell County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Gilmore-Page with one count of second degree murder.
