Linda R. (Petrey) Ward, age 54, of the Red Hill Community of Whitley County, Kentucky

Linda R. (Petrey) Ward, age 54, of the Red Hill Community of Whitley County, Kentucky, passed away Friday, May 12, 2023, at her home.

She was born on March 23, 1969, to the late James Monhollen and Barbara (Struck) Partin in Corbin, KY.  She was the granddaughter of the late Roy Strunk and Opal (Davis) Strunk.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

She is survived by her son, David A. Ward, of the Red Hill Community; two sisters, Carmela Cox, and husband, Bruce, of the Red Hill Community and Lisa Rains, of Williamsburg; two nephews, Joshua Cox and Jordan Rains, both of Williamsburg; and numerous friends, neighbors, and other relatives to mourn her passing.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 15, 2023, beginning at 12:00 pm at the Cox & Son Funeral Home Chapel.

The funeral will immediately follow on Monday afternoon, May 15, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Cox & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Gray officiating.

Interment will follow in the Strunk Family Cemetery located in the Red Hill Community of Whitley County, KY.

Cox & Son Funeral Home of Jellico is in charge of all arrangements.
