LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – There’ll not be any postage due nor any postage required when you leave a food pick-up for the postman Saturday. It’s that special day in May when people can leave a food donation in the mailbox for the mailman to pick up.

“The Second Saturday in May” food drive is this weekend both at your home mailbox and at the post office. “We’re not only picking up non-perishable food donations left in a bag by your mailbox, but we’re also accepting them at the post office from 8am until noon on Saturday,” said DeWayne “Mailman” Kitts.

Kitts said all donations collected stay at home being donated to our local food banks. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/11/2023-6AM)
