CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – After adjourning in session at its regular monthly meeting for April, the Town of Caryvillle Board of Mayor and Aldermen met on April 28 at 4 pm. The purpose of the meeting was to continue the discussion on issues facing the Caryville Cares Playground. The issue at this meeting was water drainage.

Alderman Josh Monday met with Frank Wallace of Caryville Jacksboro Utilities Commission (CJUC) and Scott Bowling with IRTEC. Bowling came up with the original design of the park.

IRTEC gave the board a job scope of how the drainage will be configured in the playground to get adequate drainage, so there won’t be any water standing around the playground. CJUC has approved the job scope and needs the approval of the board to start work on the drainage system at the playground.

Alderman Monday made the motion that the board approve CJUC to start work on the drainage system. The motion was seconded by Alderman Patrick Pebley. All board members present voted yes. Alderman Vickie Heatherly and Alderman Lloyd Lawson were absent from the meeting. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/08/2023-6AM)
