MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Must be 18 years of age

• Must have a high school diploma or GED

• Must have valid driver’s license

• Required to pass a physical examination

• Required TN Fire Commission – FF2 certification within 3 years

• Required Emergency – Medical Responder (EMR) within 3 years

• Must maintain all emergency services related licenses and certifications obtained prior to or during employment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Prepares for emergencies by conducting pre-incident planning, life safety inspections, equipment testing, and ensuring the daily operational readiness of all fire and rescue equipment.

• Participates in drills and training for a variety of emergency and non-emergency situations.

• Responds to all emergencies/ non-emergency calls including fires, vehicle accidents/ extrication, medical emergencies, train, natural disasters, hazardous materials, special operations rescues, public assistance, etc.

• Maintains fire stations including general cleaning, painting, pressure washing, waxing, mowing/weeding, beautification, changing lights
