LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – There is a scheduled City of La Follette public hearing on Tuesday at 5:30pm ahead of the regular monthly meeting. One of the items open for public comment is Ordinance 2023-07 amending Title 8 section 8-212 of Alcoholic Beverages.

At a meeting in March, it was announced that the beer ordinance needs to be amended to read park entrances need to be 500 feet from an establishment that sells or serves beer. The ordinance previously read park boundary lines must be 500 feet from the establishment.
