Ella Loretta York, age 79 of Jacksboro passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023.  She formerly attended Long Hollow Baptist Church and was a retired Barber.  Loretta enjoyed crafting, sewing, traveling, and being with her family.  She adored her Grandchildren, especially her new Great-Granddaughter.  Preceded in death by beloved Son, Steven Bert Hatmaker, Parents, Tom Ancil York and Carrie Elizabeth Bolton York, Brother, Alvin York, Adopted Brother, Johnny York, Brothers-in-law, J.L. Stittums and R.L. Reese, and Nephew, Michael York.

Survivors: Daughter, Sherry Hatmaker Griffith; Son, Thomas Hatmaker and Wife, Laura; Grandchildren, Michael Griffith and Fiancé, Lilly Rivers, Nicholas Griffith, Emily Griffith Alley and Husband, Chad, Codi Hatmaker, and Carson Hatmaker; Special Great-Granddaughter, Blakeleigh Alley; Sisters, Vieva Reese and Mary-Alice Stittums, Sister-in-law, Marjorie York-Allsup; Loving Nieces and Nephew, Lisa Jenkins (Barry), Dedra Giles (Sheldon),  Deborah Thompson (Terry), Jeff Stittums (Alberta), and Jennifer Molloy (Chris); Very Special Friend, Carolyn Vican, and several other friends, too many to mention. 

Funeral Services Friday, April 28, 2023, 7:00 P.M. at LaFollette Church of God with Pastor Michael Dent and Rev. Jared Meredith officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Friday before funeral services.  Graveside Services and Interment will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, 11:00 A.M. at Woodlawn Cemetery.  Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Ella Loretta York.
