LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Joe Bruce Phillips was booked and released on the same day after what officials with the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office describe as a successful undercover investigation.
On Tuesday evening, investigators with the CCSO in conjunction with officers from the La Follette Police Department executed a narcotics search warrant at Phillips’ North 9th Street home.
The investigation netted the trafficking of schedule II and VI controlled substances.
Phillips was charged with possession of a handgun during a felony, possession of drug paraphernalia and the sale and delivery of schedule VI.
Phillips, 59, 207 North 9th Street, La Follette, was booked at 12:02am on Wednesday and released at 3:55pm on a $2,000 ROR, according to jail officials. He’s due in court on May 23. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 04/24/2023-6AM)
