Ernest Lee Copeland, age 68, of LaFollette passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. He attended First Baptist Church in LaFollette, TN. Ernie retired from the U.S. Navy after 23 years of service as an E8 Senior Chief Petty Officer and served 10 years as a civilian contractor in Iraq supporting the US Army at Balad Air Base. Preceded in death by Parents: Harold and Wilma Jean Lynch Copeland.

Brother: Michael Lynn (Lori) Copeland

Nephews and Nieces: Caleb, Jeffrey, Warren, Colby, Jacquelyn, McKenzie, Jessica, Samuel, Eli and Ty

Great Nephews and Nieces: Everly, Emilia, Knox, Roan, Raelyn and Lilliana

Family will receive friends 5-7 PM, Friday, March 31st at Cross-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, April 1st at First Baptist Church of LaFollette, Rev. Phil Fishbach officiating. Interment to follow funeral service at Powell Valley Cemetery with Military Honors by Campbell County Honor Guard.
