The faded green sign hanging over the former Chapman’s Restaurant is a faint memory of years gone by along the Dixie Highway.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Della Sue “Bo” Chapman has died, and she’ll be laid to rest this afternoon. Bo, as she was known, was part of an era that you have to be of a certain age to really appreciate.

Bo was one of the “shirt factory girls” and retired from Imperial Reading, the shirt factory. She was a floor lady at the long ago business.

There’s another connection Bo had to the great history of this region, Chapman’s Restaurant. She and her husband Henry owned and operated the famous, now closed, eatery. The sign and most of the building still sit up close to Main Street, Highway 25W, in Downtown Lake City (Rocky Top).
