LAFOLLETTE, TN. (WLAF)- At 6:00 o’clock tonight at the Ball Farm Event Center, area Boy Scouts will honor two local men for their contributions to the community.

James “Jimmy” Davis and retired Eighth Judicial Criminal Court Judge Shayne Sexton will be the recipients of the Elbert K. Fretwell Outstanding Educator Award and The Good Scout Award, respectively.

Davis, after serving in the Army for three years, was an educator for 35 years in Campbell County.

Sexton served as the criminal court judge for the Eighth Judicial District for 24 years before his retirement last year.

The keynote speaker for the evening will be former Tennessee State Supreme Court Justice Gary R. Wade.

    Jimmy Davis-a mentor in every way. His brothers (and his wife especially) were (and are) as well.
    Shayne Sexton- a leader even as a young person. He is a natural. Dean, Cade, and Evan are testaments to this; they are leaders just as is
    Judge Sexton.
    Gary Wade- a gentleman
    and forward thinking man. Mayor, Court of Criminal Appeals, Supreme Court, Dean of a law school. What more can you do?
    Campbell County should turn out!
