Kenneth “Wayne” Longmire, age 73 of Jacksboro, departed this life and entered into his heavenly home on Friday, March 17, 2023. He was born August 31, 1949 in Harriman to the late Luther and Anna Mae Murray Longmire. Wayne was a member of West LaFollette Baptist Church and loved spending time with his family. He was the owner and operator of Longmire Machine for over 45 years. Wayne enjoyed hunting and fishing.  

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Edward, Elmer, Verlin, Harold, Cordell, Delbert, and Roy; sisters, Edith, Thelma, Hazel, Leila, Bobbie, Juanita, and Barbara.

Wayne is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 53 years, Joyce Longmire; daughters, Jennifer and husband Chuck Queener and Deborah and husband Ty Robinson; grandchildren, Hunter Robinson, Kaylee Queener, Tyler Robinson, and Taylor Robinson; sisters, Betty and Ruth; several nieces, nephews, and host of other relatives and friends.   

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 20, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with his funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Sampson Ridenour officiating. The interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery with military honors by the Jellico Honor Guard.
