LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Local business 423 Raging Axes is holding a pool tournament on Sunday, March 19, starting at 1 pm, with proceeds benefitting the Caryville Cares Playground Project.  The entry fee is $20 per player.

The tournament will be 8-ball standard APA rules.

You are encouraged to come have some fun and benefit a “great local cause” for the kids.

424 Raging Axes owner Dale Baker said he was “excited to help out with a great local cause for the children.”

Fundraising for the Caryville Cares Inclusive Playground project has been underway since 2021. The playground will be located across from Shoneys in Caryville and will be “all inclusive for children with disabilities.”  A ground breaking ceremony was held this past November.

According to project leader Brandon Johnson, community support has been “amazing” and the hope is for the playground to be finished sometime in 2023. He adds to keep an eye out for additional fundraising events.

423 Raging Axes is located in the former Bowman’s Jewelry building at 126 E. Central Avenue in LaFollette next to stop light 8.
