JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – The highest wind speed recorded on Friday at Colonel Tommy C. Stiner Airfield was 44 miles per hour. That was at 2:30pm and again at that speed over the next couple of hours.

Wind speeds were predicted to gust between 50 and 60 miles per hour and higher in the mountains. By the results of all the downed trees, gusts in some parts of Campbell County likely reached 60 MPH and above. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/06/2023-6AM)
