The Daughters of the American Revolution presented Commemorative Service Award pens to five widows of Campbell County Vietnam War Veterans.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Members of Campbell County Chapter 1148 of the Vietnam Veterans of America held a dinner and awards ceremony on Thursday afternoon at the La Follette United Methodist Church. See the full photo gallery HERE.

Sixty-five Vietnam Veterans and widows of five Vietnam Veterans attended the impressive event.

Sherrie Stout opened the ceremony singing the National Anthem.
U.S. Army Colonel (Retired) Marvin Bolinger served as the master of ceremonies.
The event’s guest speaker was Teri Oaks, Regional Clinch Bend Chapter of the DAR (The Daughters of the American Revolution).
Teri Oaks presented Chapter President Ed Housley with a commemorative flag and book (shown in photos below) as an Honorary Partner.
These ladies with Classy Threads and Catering served up a delicious meal, desserts and sweet tea. Madison and Laklee Howard are with Vanessa Dupuy (right).
