LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The west side street sign for Cherry Street sits next to the four lane. As of today, Cherry Street is a one way street entering on the west side. However, a WLAF viewer asks “what if you stop by PCUD or ProFix Auto Repair? Do you have to take Cherry Street all the way down to South 19th Street or to South 5th Street when you leave those businesses?”

“The one way would start after the repair shop (ProFix Auto Repair).  Therefore, customers for PCUD and Auto Shop will be able to exit back onto Jacksboro Pike,” said Charlie Bozeman with the City of La Follette.

Charlie Bozeman with the City of La Follette points out that the one way for Cherry Street begins after the repair shop you see on the right in this photo.

La Follette City Council voted last month for the change from a two way street to a one way street. Traffic will enter Cherry Street at PCUD and ProFix Auto Repair and will flow east to the South 5th Street-Cherry Street Y at West Beech Street. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/06/2023-6AM)
