JACKSBORO, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – Last month, the Caryville Cares Playground Team started selling tickets for their next fundraiser:  Dancing with the Stars. This event brings together nine teams from throughout Campbell County for a dance competition, where they will be performing everything from hip-hop to salsa.

Less than three days after launching ticket sales, the group ran into a major problem: they sold out.  Nearly 350 tickets were purchased.  “We weren’t sure exactly what to do” said Cheyenne Allen, chair of the event. “We have had more than 100 people reach out wanting tickets, but no more seats.”

The committee started to look into other options, and was able to get approval to move the event from the high school’s auditorium to the gymnasium.  The move, though, came with significant costs to bring in a stage, lighting, and audio equipment.  That is when the Ridge Real Estate LLC crew stepped up to help by sponsoring the event costs.

Though the venue change means that more tickets are now available, the event is still expected to sell out.  For tickets, visit HERE.

“Ridge Real Estate has been serving Campbell County since 2011, and this is just another way we could give back,” said N. Marie Ayers, the company’s owner and principal broker.  The sponsorship means that all of proceeds from the event go directly to helping support the formation of the Caryville Cares Playground – our area’s first inclusive playground.

Dancers for the event include:  Maggie Inscho, Brandon Johnson, Bethany Baird, Zach Sheets, Nancy Green, Manuel Mesa, Don Hendricks, Ashley Hendricks Deel, Bethany Hendricks Clifton, Jennifer Richardson, Patrick Pebley, Julie Zupancic, Tim Zupancic, Tiffany Buchanan, John Snodderly, Tracy Lobertini, Josh Parker, Kelli Jo Wright, and Kris Hazard.
