LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Firefighters with the La Follette Fire Department are battling a house fire at this hour. A lot of smoke is coming out of the home that sits at 925 South 8th Street next to Hill Street. It was B Shift’s call though firefighters from the A & C Shifts also answered the call.

UPDATE: Firefighters cleared the scene at 9:14 Tuesday morning and confirmed that there were no injuries. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 02/21/2023-9:30AM)

No one was found inside this home after firefighters searched through it.

The call of the fire came in around 7:30 Tuesday morning, and firefighters quickly made entry into the home searching for anyone. One firefighter tells WLAF News that no one was found during the primary search and the secondary search was just starting.

One hose was stretched all the way up South 8th Street from East Virginia Avenue.

No injuries have been reported.
