Ten years ago this week, WLAF’s Charlie Hutson snapped this photo of the Big Creek walking bridge.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Opened in July 1957, thousands of people have crossed the Big Creek walking bridge.  One side was the city parking lot which also opened in 1957, and the other side was the LaFollette Shirt Factory and downtown. The City closed the bridge in 2011, and it was removed a few years later.

It was a great picture location, and people still talk about crossing the bridge to go where ever on the other side. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 02/20/2023-6AM)
