Rita Pierce Richardson, age 75, of Jacksboro was born May 6, 1947, in Middlesboro, Kentucky, and passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023. She was a Christian of the Baptist Faith.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jake, and Belzora Lawson Pierce; paternal grandparents, Howden Gillis and Linnie Pearl Ausmus Pierce; mother, Lula Elizabeth Pierce; father, Carl Pierce, nephew: Ronald Shannon Pierce.

She is survived by son, Brad Richardson and wife, Adeline Chan of Woodside, California; Step-Son, Barry Richardson; brother, Ron Pierce of LaFollette; nephew, Will Pierce of Atlanta, Georgia, and ex-husband and son’s father, John O. Richardson of Harriman, TN, formerly of Jacksboro TN.

Visitation will be held at Cross-Smith Funeral Home on Sunday, February19th from 5-7 p. m. with the funeral to follow immediately, Rev. Jason Shockley officiating. Interment will be conducted the following day. Family and friends will meet at 9:30 AM Monday, at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Campbell Memorial Gardens for 10:00 AM Interment.
