LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The City of La Follette is moving forward with the potential development of the prime property it owns between Bojangles and the University Medical Plaza. Discussion on design for the more than 18 acres of land located along Jacksboro Pike is on the agenda for Monday afternoon’s monthly workshop. “We’re excited about the possibilities of how this property can be developed,” said La Follette City Administrator Stan Foust.

The topic of removing the portion of South 5th Street/Depot Street between the former tennis courts and West Beech Street was on the December workshop agenda. However, the topic is still on the table even though it was not on the January regular meeting’s agenda. At next week’s workshop, approval to hire a company for design and core drilling that area is on Monday’s list of topics.
