Clairese Wilson Ford, age 97, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023, at Tennova LaFollette Medical Center. She was born on December 20, 1925. Clairese was a member of High Knob Baptist Church and had retired after 32 years of service from Imperial Reading.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Golden Ford Jr.; sons Arnold D. Ford, and Gleece E. Ford; daughters-in-law, Janet, and Linda Ford; grandchildren, Scott Phillips, and Michelle Arnold; parents McKinley and Bessie Hatmaker Wilson; brothers, Virgil, Delmar, Junior, Douglas, Robert Lynn, Odie, Don, Vaughn, Eugene, and Emmett Wilson; and sisters, Carrie Miller and Bonnie Ford.

Clairese is survived by her son, Stanley Ford; daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and Odis Phillips, and Jamie and Frank Epperson, all of LaFollette; grandchildren, Greg Phillips, and wife Stacy, Melissa Jennings and husband John; Michael Ford, Doug Ford, Mark Ford, and wife, Nicole; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Smithers, and husband Matt; Dalton Hatmaker and wife Brooke, Zack Phillips, Reece Ford, Sadie Ford, Stella Ford, Carlie Arnold, Ashley Buckner and husband Phil; great-great-grandchildren, Jackson Hatmaker and Annabelle Buckner; brother Roger Wilson of Alabama; sister, Delsie Mefford of LaFollette; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Friday, January 27, 2023, in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral Service to follow at 7 PM with Rev. Frank Epperson and Rev. Randy Hurst officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 28, 2023, to go in funeral procession to Grantsboro Cemetery for an 11:00 AM internment.
