JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Karns hosted Campbell for its Homecoming back in December, and tonight, Campbell celebrates its Homecoming when Karns makes a stop on Brown Court. The JV Cougars open the triple header at 4:30 followed by the Lady Cougars-Karns game at 6pm and the Cougars-n-Beavers in the night cap at 7:30. Watch the two varsity games televised live over the WLAF – Lindsay’s Carpet & Paint Center beginning at 5:50pm. The telecast of Homecoming festivities follows the boys game.

The Lady Cougars and Beavers battled to a two-point game in the first meeting as Karns slipped away with a 54-52 win in a game where both teams enjoyed eight point leads. Campbell scored the game’s last six points. Campbell is 8 & 11, 2-2 (district) while Karns sports a 13-9 won-loss mark and a 3 & 1 league record with its only loss being 53-50 to Oak Ridge on Henson Court.

Of the 15 wins for Karns, one of those Beaver victories came at the expense of the Campbell Cougars on December 9. The 15 & 6 Beavers won 70-37, the only game where Karns has held its opponent under 40 points, over Campbell. The Beavers only loss in the league came last Friday at home to Oak Ridge, 67-64, leaving Karns 4 & 1 in its District 3-AAAAA games. Campbell is 8 & 8 and winless through four district games.

PLEASE NOTE: The Powell games are POSTPONED for a second time. Campbell will now play AT Powell on Thu., Jan. 26.

Homecoming is Friday when Karns visits. Festivities take place after the boys game. WLAF has all the live televised coverage.
