KNOXVILLE, TN (WLAF) – Make no mistake, the Campbell Lady Cougars have had a most busy and productive Christmas break playing five road games over 10 days. The two weeks of tourneys wrapped up Thursday with Campbell taking third place in the Chris Lindsay – Berean Christmas Tournament at Knoxville.

Campbell shook off the Lady Golden Eagles of Grace Baptist Academy out of Chattanooga and ran away for a 71-22 win with some Lady Cougars setting new career high scoring marks. Reagan Stanfill posted a varsity career high 11 points along with career highs from Reagan Davis with nine and six from Aleah Woodson.

The win improves Campbell to 7 & 9. Saylor Hutcheson matched Stanfill for game high scoring honors with 11 while Emma Brandenburg also made double-digits with 10 points. Carley Kitts had nine with six points from Bella Lester and four from Lexi Morris. Destiny Rutherford’s three points and Lacey Pemberton’s two rounded out the Campbell scoring.

The 7 & 6 Cougars and Lady Cougars return to game action on Tue., Jan. 3, at Huntsville. It’ll be a double header with Scott, and WLAF will have the live telecast.
