Jefferson Campbell (Jay Mac) McDonald, age 77, of Speedwell, TN passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at his home. He was born on August 13, 1945, to the late Lula and Dayton McDonald. Jay was saved at a young age; he was of the Baptist faith. The things he enjoyed most in life were working on the farm for most of his life, he also loved spending time with his family, especially all of our grandbabies, and we can’t forget his love for riding his four-wheeler.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Charles and Ello McDonald; sisters, Lily Turner and Geneva Combs; nieces and nephews Trish, David and Bunita.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn McDonald, his children Jeff McDonald, Randy “Mack” McDonald, Rocky (Christie) McDonald and Sabrina McDonald (Steve Gray); grandchildren, Dayton (Shelby) McDonald, Jonathan McDonald, Breanna (Malachi) Barnett, Dakotah Carr (Jessie Wilson), Hannah Stittums (Tanner Monroe), Justin Couch, Stephanie Couch and Danna Couch; great-grandchildren, Haliegh, Carson, Benny, Ellie, Katie, Kylie, Jack, Corrin, Charlie, Daisy, James and Joseph. Special riding companion friend Walter Ellison and nephew Ello Jr. McDonald, and a host of great nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.

Family will receive friends 11-1 PM Saturday, December 31, at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and then proceed to Clawson Cemetery for Graveside Service and Interment, Rev. Randy Hurst officiating.
