James David “Jim” Comer, age 87 of LaFollette, passed away on Thursday,

December 8, 2022. He was of the Baptist faith. Jim enjoyed being outside spending time with his wonderful neighbors, mowing his yard, and woodworking.

Wife – Minnie Comer

Sons – David Comer and Randy Comer

Daughter – Sandy Lynn Comer

Parents – George and Dovie White Comer

Brothers – G.B. Comer and Paul Comer

Sisters – Ruth Riggs, Nell Jordan, Betty Heatherly, LaVon Petree and Jewell Chapman

Survivors:

Daughters – Becky (Roger) Hatmaker and Robin (Keith) McCarty

Son – Mark Comer (Terry)

Daughter-In-Law- Faye Comer

Special Daughter – Nancy Lowe

Grandchildren: Todd (Angie) Hatmaker, Kayla (Josh) Clear, Sandi (Daniel) Wilson, Mikey (Gabby) Comer, Tim Comer, Mark Comer, Mary & Chris Combs, Kyann Beets

Great Grandchildren: Chelsey, Taylor, Aria, Greyson, Emma Grace, Randi Jane, Maggie & Baby Josie, Preston, Chrislyn, Saphira, Emma, Alyssa

And a host of other relatives, nieces, and

nephews.

Family will receive friends 5-7 PM Friday December 9 at Cross-Smith Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 7 PM Cross-Smith Chapel, Rev. Roger Hatmaker and Mikey Comer officiating. Family and friends will meet 12 Noon Saturday at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Sunrise Cemetery for Interment Service.
