ONEIDA, TN (WLAF) – For as many turnovers and missed shots the Campbell Lady Cougars had in the first half on Monday night at Oneida, they almost made up for it in the second half before running out of time. Watch the game on DEMAND from WLAF.

It was a first half worth forgetting, and the Lady Cougars forgot coming out in the second half playing the kind of basketball a coach likes to see. However, after Oneida made a 15-3 run in the second quarter building a 14-point halftime advantage, Campbell was just not able to get over the hump. The Lady Indians held on for a 48-45 win.

Saylor Hutcheson was tops for Campbell with 10 as Bella Lester scored eight before fouling out. Lacey Pemberton also had eight followed by six from Emma Brandenburg, Carley Kitts chipped in five and four points came from Lexi Morris. Destiny Rutherford rang up a big first half three.

The 2 & 2 Lady Cougars travel to Hardin Valley Academy Tuesday night to face the Lady Hawks in a 6pm game. The Cougars play the varsity boys game following at 7:30. The JV game features the Cougar JVs tipping off at 4:30pm.
