LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Leon “Swish” Caldwell starred for the La Follette Owls Basketball team back in the day, and Annie Margaret Ayers cheered for the La Follette Owls. Some 66 years ago, the couple began dating as high school sophomores, and they’ve been a couple ever since.

Leon and Annie Caldwell marked 60 years of marriage last week.

Over the weekend, family gathered to celebrate Leon and Annie Caldwell’s 60th wedding anniversary. Four generations celebrated the occasion. “We celebrated with the best two parents ever,” said Wes Caldwell. Wes is one of the three Caldwell brothers along with Mike and Bo.
