LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – It was a team effort to prepare La Follette’s big Christmas Tree for the season. Though it is a fun project, it is also a lot of work.

LFD Firefighter Joey Gilbert handled the bucket and the lights.

First the old lights had to be taken off the tree. Then it needed a good shaping-trimming from Tom Hatmaker and La Follette Tree Trimming. Wednesday was a full day of placing the lights on the tree, the ornaments and the star at the top of the tree.

Wednesday’s unseasonably warm weather called for frequent water breaks as LFD Firefighter Joey Gilbert points out.
