TOP PHOTO: WLAF begins this Veterans Day by thanking our own Big Josh Etter for his service to our country. Josh served in the US Army starting at age 17.

After fighting a fire at an east La Follette home, La Follette Firefighters hung flags through Downtown La Follette on this Veterans Day. LFD Chief Jimmy Pack said the rain was too much today for the big cotton U-S Flag to handle and that the ladder truck will not be out like always with the flag hanging from the ladder. However, he points out that the ladder truck and the big flag will be out on Saturday for the Veterans Day Parade.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – It is Veterans Day, and even though the annual ceremony held on the grounds of the Campbell County Courthouse is cancelled today because of the rain and wind, the Veterans Day Parade is still on for Saturday at 2pm in La Follette. Connect HERE to see a production celebrating and honoring veterans. This is a production of Kevin Walden, Director of the Campbell County Veteran Services Office.

Veterans Day honors our United States veterans and active-duty military personnel.

Thank you ladies and gentlemen for your service, and thank you for our freedom. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/11/2022-6AM)
