JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – “I would like to thank our SRO Officers and Instructors for spending their day off Tuesday training,” said Campbell County Sheriff Wayne Barton.

With Tuesday being election day, Campbell County Schools were closed. Even though it was a day off for the county’s school resource officers, they were busy honing their skills.

“Our instructors organized scenarios in a Federal training facility that simulated real life incidents that could occur in any of our schools. We are dedicated to keeping our schools a safe place for all students to thrive,” said the sheriff.
