JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – The clock is ticking to the start of the high school basketball season for Campbell High, and tip time is two weeks from tonight. The Cougars and Lady Cougars host the Claiborne Bulldogs on Tue., Nov. 15 on Brown Court. The WLAF-Doyle’s Tire Shop Network brings you all the live radio and TV coverage.

Monday was the first day high school teams in Tennessee could officially start practice, and the Cougars took to Brown Court right after school while the Lady Cougars began their practice about an hour later on Agee Court at Jacksboro Middle School.

Lady Cougars listen to instruction from second year head coach Jason Kitts. Saylor Hutcheson (33), 15 Carley Kitts, Lacey Pemberton (32) and Bella Lester (10), all sophomores, are tuned in to their coach as is junior Emma Brandenburg (41).

There was no shortage of energy for both squads. Sixteen Cougars suited up for their first session, and 14 Lady Cougars participated in day one drills as well.
