Archie “Arch” Nathaniel Crouse Jr went to permanent peace with our Heavenly Father on September 23, 2022 in Jacksboro, Tennessee. A memorial service and celebration for Arch is currently being planned and further details will be provided in the near future.

Arch was born November 28, 1942 in Argonia, Kansas to Archie Crouse Sr and Marian Crouse (Freestone). Arch met Anne Marie Crouse (Owens) of Denver, CO in 1967 and they married later that year. The couple enjoyed many adventures together in their early married life including a government contract for logging in Northwestern Colorado, Arch’s Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Sciences from The University of Northern Colorado and an eventual calling to the ministry. Between 1970 and 1976 the couple welcomed a son, Paul, daughter, Sarah and daughter, Carrie. In 1980, Arch graduated with a Master of Divinity from Oral Roberts University as well as welcomed their last son, Noah.

Arch and his family moved to Ames, Oklahoma and he worked for the Oklahoma Feed CO-OP and as a non-denominational pastor from 1980 until 1988 when the family moved from Oklahoma to Parker, Colorado. Once in Colorado, he worked for Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment as an Environmental Specialist until his retirement in 2018.

In 2020, seeking new adventures in retirement, Arch and Anne moved to Jacksboro Tennessee. A lifelong hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman, Arch was excited to see what the deep woods of Tennessee offered for wild game.

Arch is proceeded in death by his parents Archie Crouse Sr and Marian Crouse (Freestone). He survived by his wife Anne Crouse, his son Paul Crouse, his daughter Sarah Nolin, daughter Carrie Crouse, son Noah Crouse as well as multiple siblings, aunts, uncles and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to Colorado Parks and Wildlife or Oral Roberts University in Arch’s name.

The family has entrusted the care of Archie “Arch” Nathaniel Crouse Jr to Martin Wilson Funeral Home “Where Families Matter Most.”
