LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Osborne Excavating has made big strides in getting a section of Towe String Road reopened after the discovery of a collapsing box culvert in August. The crew began work last Wednesday where TSR meets the four lane at Citizens Bank.
Finishing the fill-in of the portion of the road where the culvert was removed and replaced continues as paving, striping and the laying of the traffic light control pad will soon be completed.

Traffic patterns changed on the afternoon of Wed., Aug. 10, when crews with La Follette Public Works placed cones and barrels directing traffic around the collapsing area of TSR at the four- lane. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/20/2022-6AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF WLAF’S CHARLIE HUTSON)
Why is the road beside the fire station closed? We pay for that road and it should be open!!!
I agree with Good Citizen!!
Who is the “influential person” in that subdivision??
Thank each of you for your response.
That is a neighborhood, and I think that in itself sums it up.
Best,

The thing that has the most influence in that neighborhood is the narrow road. It is dangerous to have the heavy traffic flow created by this project going in both directions. That road is difficult during normal times. This is far from normal.
