LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Sidelines Bar and Grill is WLAF’s business of the week. Located in the Woodson Mall -Food City Center, the bar and grill has a hometown sports bar atmosphere with 15 televisions to catch the games. Featuring burgers, nachos, wings and more, there’s plenty to choose from on the menu. Sidelines is operating on an “opening menu,” but will be expanding its menu soon, according to owner Valerie Miesel. Sidelines Bar and Grill offers draft beer and bottled beverages and will soon be serving liquor by the drink.

Sidelines Bar and Grill is located at 2239 Jacksboro Pike in LaFollette. Temporary business hours are 4pm to 10 pm Monday through Thursday, 4pm to 11 pm on Fridays, 2pm to 11pm on Saturdays and Noon to 8pm on Sundays. 

After several months of renovations, the business held a soft opening last week, which went well according to Miesel and Sidelines manager Samuel Kennedy. Both said they received positive feedback on the business.

According to Miesel, starting a restaurant is “something she always wanted to do.”

“I just felt like the area could use something, and the sports bar atmosphere fit. When the opportunity came up, I decided to go for it,” Miesel said. 

Sidelines Bar and Grill offers draft beer and bottled beverages and will soon be serving liquor by the drink.

The bar and grill will host specialty nights coming soon such as “Bike Night Mondays,” which will feature burger and beer specials. Tuesday’s will be “Taco and Trivia” night, followed by SINGO, (it’s like Bingo, but with music.) Live music is lined up for weekends and an outdoor patio area is also coming soon. 

“We’ve put a lot of work in, and we’re excited to be open,” Kennedy said.

Both Miesel and Kennedy said they looked forward to serving the people of Campbell County.

  3. So proud of Valerie and her children and my awesome grandson Samuel Kennedy. They have worked tirelessly all summer to give Campbell County some good food and clean place to eat. The food is amazing. The atmosphere is pleasant and Taco Tuesday was clean and fun.
    Congratulations to Valerie and Samuel.
