Ms. Mary Josephine (Carr) Anderson, 95, of Creekmore Lane, Jellico, TN departed this life on Monday, September 5, 2022 at her home. Mary was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved to crochet, draw, and spend time with her family.

Mary was born on July 11, 1927 in Morley, TN to the late Joe Carr and Sarah Elizabeth (Gumm) Carr. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her late husband (Charlie Anderson), her infant son (Donald Anderson), her sisters (Annie Carr, Ethal Carr, Evelyn Carr), and her brothers (Bill Carr, Lewis Carr, Arvil Carr, John Carr, & Phillip Carr.)

She is survived by her children: Barbara Owens (Jackie) of Williamsburg, KY; Jim Anderson of Williamsburg, KY; Brenda Hale (Stanley) of Williamsburg, KY; and Gary Anderson (Regina) of Jellico, TN; her grandchildren: Janet Turner, Chris Owens (Rebecca), Carolyn Lawson (Paul), Jimmy Anderson (Linda), Renea Davenport (TJ), Tracy Anderson (Lisa), Joseph Anderson, Kendrick Pemberton (Stefani), and Joey W. Anderson; her great grandchildren: Savannah Turner Hoover (Parker), Whitney Owen, Zach Owens, Jacob Lawson, Kaitlyn Lawson, Arissa Anderson (Brenna), Jimmy W. Anderson (Dakota), Ryan Anderson, Sierra Anderson, Justin Anderson, Ashley Anderson, Jason Anderson, Daven Davenport, Trey Davenport, McKayla Davenport, Taylor Pemberton, Hunter Anderson, Anabella Anderson, and Isabella Anderson; and her great-great grandchild Kollins Anderson; special nephew Kenneth Anderson; special nieces Orpha Brink, Helen Smith, & Connie Wells; and her little dog, Joie. She is also survived by a host of other family members and friends.

The funeral service will be held at Boston Baptist Church, Williamsburg, KY. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour of 1:00 PM. Reverend Ronnie Rose, Reverend Marty Bramble, & Reverend Billy Carpenter will be officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at the Anderson-Siler Cemetery in Williamsburg, KY.
