JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – A crowd gathered at the courthouse Thursday at noon to hold a retirement celebration for Register of Deeds June Turner. Beginning in March of 1980, Turner served more than 42 years in service to Campbell County in the Register of Deeds Office. 

Chancery Court Clerk and Master Dennis Potter presented Turner with a proclamation signed by County Mayor E.L Morton thanking Turner for her service and the many accomplishments and improvements achieved during her position in office. She was presented with a plaque to honor her retirement as well. 

A retirement celebration was held for June Turner on Thursday. Turner has 42 and a half years of service at the Register of Deeds of Office.

Some of these accomplishments included updating and digitalizing the County’s records in the office.  

The plaque was in “honor and great appreciation of the faithful, devoted and valuable service of more than 42 years in the Campbell County Register of Deeds Office and to the citizens of Campbell County.”

“We appreciate your service and commitment to this office. The people of Campbell County benefitted greatly from improvements made during your time and from your service,” Potter said. 

Congratulations on a career well done, June. Thank you for all your years of professional, friendly and courteous service along with the innovations you brought to the Register of Deeds office.

Turner was also presented with a rocking chair to “sit back and relax” for her retirement. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/26/2022-6AM)
