LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – There have been further developments in the wreck WLAF first reported on Friday afternoon. A Speedwell woman has been charged and arrested for the role she played in the mishap.

La Follette Police worked the 1pm accident on Friday that happened under Stop Light 9 where Indiana Avenue crosses East Central Avenue. A Toyota Camry and a KIA Sorento van collided blocking the four lane for the better part of an hour as traffic was routed into a single lane around the wreckage.

Laura Ann Lamb, 38, 237 Carr View Lane, Speedwell, was driving the Toyota, based on police information, and was charged at the scene. Lamb was arrested on charges of DUI (driving under the influence), possession of schedule IV drugs and drug paraphernalia, failure to maintain lane, drivers to exercise due care and violation of the implied consent law.

Traffic was down to one lane in each direction after two vehicles collided under Stop Light 9.

Lamb was released from the Campbell County Jail later on Friday afternoon on a $10,250 bond. Jail records reveal that this was Lamb’s fourth arrest in Campbell County, and she is scheduled to appear in court on September 6.

La Follette Fire and Campbell County EMS First Responders also answered the call. According to La Follette Police, no one was transported from the scene with injuries. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/23/2022-6AM)

  1. It would be great if she would be incarcerated for this accident that she caused, before she gets behind the wheel again and maybe kills an innocent person! Just my opinion.
