JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – This evening marks the final tune-up for the Campbell County Cougars ahead next week’s first game.

The 48th edition of Campbell Football continues working toward its 2022 season kicking off on August 19. The Cougars host Halls in a 6pm scrimmage this evening on Reynolds Field.

The regular season kicks off at home this year as Chattanooga Central visits. Les Martin and Brent Allen return for their 12th season of calling all the action of Campbell Football. Martin has called the most Cougar wins ever and is anxious for the 2022 season to begin. Allen is the father of former Cougar greats Slayton Allen and C.J. Allen.

Since the school opened in 1975, WLAF has been there covering the Cougars from, first radio, to the addition of WLAF-TV 12 and then to telecasts over 1450wlaf.com and now on FM radio.
